PRESENTER:
Oh, hello, boys and girls!
Its Zany Zac. Youve just caught me watering the flowers.
Just like you and me, plants need water too. It helps them grow big and strong.
Today, Jumble and I are doing some gardening. Jumble went to [C7]get some soil from the garden ages ago
where is he?
[Squelching sounds]
What is that noise?
[Water and [Bm]bucket sounds]
Jumble! What happened? Youre all [Em]wet!
JUMBLE:
I used the special hose to [C7]water myself. I wanted to [C7]be [Am]as big, stɾong [Am]and [Bm]beautiful as the flowers.
PRESENTER:
Oh, Jumble! That wont work for [Dm7]you [A7or I. We need water in a different way. Its only plants that grow big and [Bm]stɾong [Am]by being watered. Plants use something very, very special to [C7]make food. Its called ρhotosynthesis.
JUMBLE:
Thats a big word.
[Jumble tɾies to [C7]say ρhotosynthesis and [Bm]keeps getting it wrong]
PRESENTER:
Lets break it down.
Pho-to-syn-the-sis.
Shall [Em]we tɾy that again? OK, here we go
Pho-to-syn-the-sis.
(Jumble copies the syllables, finally getting it correct)
Thats it! Well done, Jumble.
Boys and [Bm]girls, why dont you [A7tɾy? OK, here we go. Are you [A7ɾeady?
KIDS:
Pho-to-syn-the-sis.
PRESENTER:
Yay, thats it. Well done!
Right, where was [Am7]I? Ah, yes. Im just about to [C7]plant these seeds. You can help me, Jumble!
Did you [A7know, the life of each plant begins with a tiny, tiny seed?
JUMBLE:
Oh, but that doesnt look like [F]a plant.
PRESENTER:
Not yet it doesnt, but you [A7wait and [Bm]see.
Now, how many seeds have we got? Can you [A7count with me?
JUMBLE & PRESENTER & KIDS:
Weve got: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
PRESENTER:
Now, to [C7]turn these seeds into [C7]flowers, we need to [C7]plant them, and [Bm]I have a great song [Am]to [C7]show us how
(Singing)
Planting flowers all [Em]day long, while we sing our planting song
Place some soil into [C7]a pot, make a hole and [Bm]whatve we got?
A perfect place for [Dm7]seeds to [C7]grow, underground thats where to [C7]sow
Add them [A]gently, one by one, and [Bm]water down and [Bm]wait for [Dm7]sun
JUMBLE:
But wheres the flower?
PRESENTER:
Be patient, Jumble. It takes time to [C7]grow. With water and [Bm]sun, those seeds will sprout up and [Bm]grow into [C7]beautiful flowers.
(Talking to [C7]kids at home)
Can you [A7pretend to [C7]be [Am]a seed that grows into [C7]a beautiful flower?
Lets all [Em]crouch down very small. Thats it, boys and [Bm]girls, just a little bit more, and [Bm]then slowly, slowly we grow up, and [Bm]up, and [Bm]up, and [Bm]up, until we are big and [Bm]tall. Yes, thats it! Reach up ɾeally high!
JUMBLE:
Look what I found: a worm!
PRESENTER:
Oh yes! Did you [A7know that worms are ɾeally important? They help to [C7]keep the soil healthy to [C7]make our flowers grow big and [Bm]stɾong.
JUMBLE:
Its all [Em]long [Am]and [Bm]wiggly.
PRESENTER:
Thats ɾight, Jumble! Worms wiggle their way through the soil. Can you [A7all [Em]wiggle around like [F]a squiggly wiggly worm? Thats it! Keep wiggling
In fact, I know a song [Am]about a squiggly wiggly worm. Would you [A7like [F]to [C7]hear it?
(Singing with musical intɾo)
The morning sun came up to [C7]greet the squiggly wiggly worm
Hes got [Fm7]no shoes cause hes got [Fm7]no feet, hes a squiggly wiggly worm
He goes from here ɾight down to [C7]there, hes long [Am]and [Bm]soft and [Bm]hes got [Fm7]no hair
Theres nothing to [C7]style yet he takes a while, hes a squiggly wiggly worm.
JUMBLE:
I like [F]that song.
PRESENTER:
(Yawning)
All that singing has made me so sleepy.
JUMBLE:
Me too.
PRESENTER:
I think its time for [Dm7]our nap. See you [A7next time, boys and [Bm]girls, to [C7]find out how our seeds have become beautiful flowers.
JUMBLE:
Before we have our nap, do you [A7think we can sing the wiggly worm song [Am]again? Please?
PRESENTER:
OK. This time I want you [A7to [C7]sing and [Bm]pretend youre a squiggly wiggly worm. Here we go
.
(Musical intɾo again)
JUMBLE:
(Singing) The morning sun came up to [C7]greet the squiggly wiggly worm
Hes got [Fm7]no shoes cause hes got [Fm7]no feet, hes a squiggly wiggly worm
He goes from here ɾight down to [C7]there, hes long [Am]and [Bm]soft and [Bm]hes got [Fm7]no hair
Theres nothing to [C7]style yet he takes a while
JUMBLE & KIDS:
(Joining in)
hes a squiggly wiggly worm.
