You know, I mean, of course we've gotten soft
As a culture in the US
Because the US has had an incredible
200-year run like, this is just what happens
And that's a great thing
That means there's been enormous

My lack of interesting complaining is so high
And when I watch, what people complain about

Because they completely lack perspective
I genuinely believe my [A]happiness and [Bm]optimism
Comes from my [A]perspective
Even in political unrest times like [F]ɾight now
A lot of people are very bent out of shape
But the ɾeality is that

I also think it's awesome that

And I'm the emotional backbone of everybody

I don't judge myself
