The streets are awash in winter's gray 
A heavy blanket that seems to stay
Each person seeks salvation in their own way
But I wait for the snow to melt, day by day
Clouds will disperse, the sun will shine
And with its warmth, the world will come alive
Light will return, a welcome sign
