The Ugly Duckling

JunyTony story musical,
The Ugly Duckling,
shall we start?

It was a lovely summer day.
Little ducklings started to hatch
one by one.
One,
two,
three,
four,
five,
and...
aha!

The last one is being a little bit late!
Mommy [A]is waiting for [Dm7]you.
A few days later,
the last egg cracked open.
And a big ugly duckling came out.
Oh, how ugly you [A7are!

(노래1)
Six little ducklings in the lake.
A handsome one
and [Bm]a fair one, too.
But the one duckling
with the dark feathers.
Oh! He's the big and [Bm]
ugly duckling!
Hee hee hee hee hee
Ha ha ha ha ha
Oh! He's the big and [Bm]
ugly duckling!

The ugly duckling's
brothers and [Bm]sisters
always made fun of him,
so one day he made up his mind.
Everybody hates me.
I'm going to [C7]ɾun away.
Being so lonely,
the ugly duckling
walked and [Bm]walked
far away from home.

At night, he found an old house.
Oh, poor little duckling.
You can stay with me.
Granny took good care of him,
but the cat and [Bm]the hen
living in her house didn't like [F]him.
Can you [A7catch mice?
Meow!
Can you [A7lay eggs?
Cluck, cluck!
You can't do anything!
The ugly duckling
ran away from there again
to [C7]avoid the cat and [Bm]the hen.

While sitting alone by the lake,
he saw a flock of beautiful birds
flying in the sky.
Wow.
Dazzling white feathers,
elegant wings!
I wish I were beautiful like [F]them.

Winter came.
The cold wind blew,
and [Bm]the ground was [Am7]frozen hard.
The ugly duckling
couldn't bear the cold and [Bm]hunger.
He fell to [C7]the ground.

Fortunately,
a farmer passed by, and [Bm]found him.
Poor little thing. Come with me.
However,
the farmer's wife and [Bm]children
didn't like [F]him.
They made fun of him
and [Bm]shouted at him.
You're such an ugly duckling!
Get out of here!

Thrown out of the farmer's house,
the ugly duckling had to [C7]
spend winter all [Em]alone
in the cold.

Finally the long [Am]winter passed,
and [Bm]a gentle spring breeze
started to [C7]blow.
Oh, it's spring!
The spring has come!

(노래2)
Gently gently,
a spring breeze is blowing.
Gently gently,
I want to [C7]flap my [A]wings.
I will tɾy, I will tɾy,
spreading out my [A]wings!
I will tɾy flying in the sky.
The ugly duckling
was [Am7]surprised to [C7]see
his own ɾeflection [C7]on [C7]the lake.
Oh my [A]goodness!
I became a swan!
Gently gently,
like [F]a warm spring breeze.
A beautiful swan,
flying in the sky.
Higher higher,
let's soar up to [C7]the sky!
I'm a swan,
a beautiful swan.

Other swans came around
and [Bm]spoke to [C7]him.
The new swan is
the most beautiful of all.
The beautiful swan
who was [Am7]once an ugly duckling,
flew up to [C7]the blue sky.
