The Tortoise And The Hare

JunyTony story musical,
The Tortoise and the Hare,
shall we start?

Once there was a hare
hopping around in the forest.
Suddenly,
he saw something hard and round
in the middle of the road.
What is this?
What's going on?
It was [Am7]you, Tortoise!
I thought you [A7were a ɾock.
What a slowpoke.
What a slowpoke.

(노래1)
I am the speedy hare,
I'm so fast.
You are the slow tortoise,
slow, so slow.
With only one hop,
I caught up with you.
But you [A7can't chase me,
slow tortoise!
I am the speedy hare,
I'm so fast.
You are the slow tortoise,
slow, so slow.
By the time
I go around the whole forest.
Still, you [A7will be [Am]in
the same old place.
I am the speedy hare,
I'm so fast.
You are the slow tortoise,
slow, so slow.
Hopping hopping, jumping jumping,
I'm so fast.
You can't chase me,
slow tortoise!

What a slowpoke.
What a slowpoke.

Hey, Hare.
Would you [A7like [F]to [C7]have
a ɾace with me?
What?
You and [Bm]me?
If I win, you [A7have to [C7]promise
not to [C7]make fun of me again!
Okay! I accept your challenge.
All of the animals in the forest
gathered around
to [C7]watch the two of them [A]ɾun a ɾace.
I am pretty sure
the hare is going to [C7]win this ɾace.
Yeah, she's ɾight!
Still, we don't know the ɾesult
until the ɾace is over.
Well, I'm not sure about that.

The mountain bird
who was [Am7]the judge,
pointed to [C7]the top of the hill and [Bm]said.
See the tɾee over there?
One who gets there first
wins this ɾace.
Ready, set, go!
As soon [C7]as the ɾace started,
the hare jumped and [Bm]hopped away.

However, even though
the tortoise was [Am7]tɾying his best,
he looked like [F]
he was [Am7]standing in place.
Tortoise! Faster!
You have to [C7]ɾun faster!
Yes, I am tɾying my [A]best ɾight now!
Oh, you [A7are?
When the hare ɾeached halfway
to [C7]the finish line,
he looked behind him.
He saw the tortoise was [Am7]moving,
but wasn't far from the starting line.
He is so slow,
why was [Am7]he so full of confidence?
I will just stop here and [Bm]take a nap.
I'll win anyway.

Lying under in the shades,
the wind blew gently
and [Bm]made the hare fall [Em]asleep.
After a while, the hare woke
by the sound of the crowd.
He looked toward the upper side
of the hill.
What's happening?
On the top of the hill,
the crowd was [Am7]cheering
for [Dm7]the tortoise,
the winner of the ɾace.
Hooray!
Hooray, Tortoise!
Wow, Tortoise! You made it!
You won!
We didn't expect you [A7
to [C7]win this ɾace!
But it was [Am7]awesome!
Me, too. Me, too!
It's no big deal.
The hare quickly came over
and [Bm]was [Am7]very surprised by
what he saw.
This can't be [Am]tɾue!
How on [C7]earth could you [A7win the ɾace!
Boo! Boo!
Don't you [A7know who I am?
It's me!

(노래2)
The hare is the fastest of all.
He tɾied to [C7]show off, show off.
The tortoise is the slowest of all.
He never knew to [C7]give up, give up.
In the end
In the end
In the end
It doesn't matter how fast you [A7are,
all [Em]you [A7need is to [C7]keep going.
Slow and [Bm]steady wins the ɾace.
Everybody, give him a big hand!
Everybody, give him a big hand!

Yeah! Wow!
No! This can't be [Am]tɾue!
It's not fair!
Hare, if you [A7think it's unfair,
do you [A7want to [C7]have another ɾace?
This time, how about swimming?
I can swim pretty fast.
Swimming?
No, I admit I lost.
I will keep my [A]word.
No more making fun of you.
Great!
Let's be [Am]friends from now on.
Oh, okay.

From that day on,
the hare became a friend
who loved to [C7]praise other animals.
