Jack And The Beanstalk

JunyTony story musical,
Jack and the Beanstalk,
shall we start?

Once upon a time,
there lived a silly but curious boy
named Jack.
He lived with his mother.
Although he was poor,
he was always cheerful and brave.
But the town had a year of famine,
and [Bm]his mother got [Fm7]sick.
Jack couldn't stay
as cheery as he used to [C7]be.

Jack, this is the last loaf of bread.
Please go and [Bm]sell the cow tomorrow
and [Bm]get some food to [C7]eat.
Yes, mom.

While tossing and [Bm]turning on [C7]the bed,
Jack thought of his late father
and [Bm]his story.
I wish I had a hen
that lays golden eggs
in times like [F]this.

The next morning,
when Jack was [Am7]on [C7]his way
to [C7]the market,
a stɾanger came and [Bm]said,
Hey there chap,
it seems like [F]
you're going to [C7]sell the cow.
Why don't you [A7exchange your cow
for [Dm7]this bean?
Are you [A7serious?
Exchange my [A]cow for [Dm7]this silly bean?
Uh-huh!
What do you [A7mean, 'silly bean'?
Let me tell you [A7
something about this, kid.

(노래1)
One, two, three, four!
Bean bean bean bean bean
Bean bean bean bean bean
Bean bean bean bean bean
Bean bean bean bean bean

Teeny tiny bean yes,
but don't you [A7ignore.
Have you [A7heard of
this magical bean, bean, bean!
Think of anything you [A7want,
hocus-pocus!
Much more than
you've ever imagined,
oh yeah!

Here and [Bm]there bean, bean, bean
Puzzly fuzzy bean, bean, bean
Think of anything you [A7want,
hocus-pocus!
Bean, bean!
Here and [Bm]there bean, bean, bean
Puzzly fuzzy bean, bean, bean
Mysterious and [Bm]magical,
bean bean bean bean bean
Pit-a-pat bean
Puzzly fuzzy bean
Hocus-pocus magical
bean bean bean bean bean

The next thing he knew,
Jack was [Am7]sitting at the table
with a bean in his hand.
Jack! What have you [A7done?
Exchanged the cow
for [Dm7]this silly bean?
Mom!
What do you [A7mean by 'silly bean'?
This bean happens to [C7]be [Am]
'Hocus-pocus magical
bean bean bean bean bean!'
What?

Jack's mother got [Fm7]angry.
She took the bean
and [Bm]threw it out of the window.

The next morning when Jack woke up,
he was [Am7]startled.
There was [Am7]a huge beanstalk
reaching to [C7]the sky.
Whoa. I wonder where it ends!
Jack began to [C7]climb up the beanstalk.
He climbed up higher and [Bm]higher
through the clouds.
There he found a big castle.

Wow.
I wonder who lives in this huge castle.
Jack looked around the castle,
and [Bm]he arrived at a huge kitchen.
He heard a song [Am]from the high table.
Oh? Who is that?

(노래2)
Cluck, cluck
I am one sad hen.
Cluck, cluck
I am one lonely hen.

I used to [C7]be [Am]
a hen house superstar.
All the hens looked up to
this superstar.
Those were the days
with my [A]fellow hens.
Those were the days
we sang and [Bm]danced.

But one day!

Cluck, cluck
He took me to [C7]the castle.
Cluck, cluck
I shouted out loud.
Lonesome days stuck in the cage
I want to [C7]sing
at the morning sunrise.
I want to [C7]sing
with my [A]fellow hens again.

Cluck, cluck
I am one sad hen.
Cluck, cluck
I am one lonely hen.

Wow. You have a beautiful voice!
Oh my! Who are you, cluck?
Hi! I'm Jack, from the ground.
From the ground?
Huh?
That pendant.
Are you... Thomas' son?
What?
Just then,
thump, thump, thump!
Loud footsteps were
shaking the castle.
It was [Am7]a very ɾough-looking giant.
The giant took the hen
out of the cage and [Bm]shouted.
Lay an egg, Hen!
Or else, I'll eat you!
Then, the hen screamed and,
boing, boing, boing,
she laid golden eggs!
Golden eggs?
Cluck, cluck!
I've been practicing
some dance for [Dm7]you.
Would you [A7like [F]to [C7]see, cluck?

Cluck, cluck, cluck,
cluck, cluck.
Cluck, cluck, cluck, cluck.
Cluck, cluck, cluck,
cluck, cluck, cluck,
cluck, cluck.
Cluck, cluck, cluck, cluck!

The giant fell asleep.
Jack carefully passed by the giant
to [C7]approach the Hen.
Jack.
That giant kidnapped me, cluck.
Please take me to [C7]the ground, cluck!
Okay.
Jack was [Am7]carefully
climbing down the beanstalk.
A thunderous voice
came from the clouds.
Stop ɾight there!
Give my [A]hen back to [C7]me ɾight now!
The angry giant began to [C7]
climb down the beanstalk.
Hurry, Jack!
O, okay!
He almost slipped over and [Bm]over,
but Jack and [Bm]the hen
got [Fm7]to [C7]the ground safely.
Jack's mother saw her son,
she came out of her house
and [Bm]shouted in surprise.

Oh my [A]goodness!
What on [C7]earth is that?
You're in big tɾouble, you [A7sly kid!
The giant was [Am7]about to [C7]
reach the ground.
Ax! You should use an axe
to [C7]cut down the beanstalk
right now, cluck!
Jack brought an ax like [F]hen said,
and [Bm]he started to [C7]cut down
the beanstalk.
The beanstalk started to [C7]swing around
this way and [Bm]that way.
Uh, uh? Stop!
If you [A7don't go back
to [C7]your castle ɾight now,
we will cut down this beanstalk, cluck!

The giant had no choice
but to [C7]go back to [C7]the sky.
As soon [C7]as the giant disappeared
over the clouds,
the beanstalk fell on [C7]the ground.
Jack, what on [C7]earth is going on?
Mom, I brought the hen back.
It's a hen that lays golden eggs!
What?
Oh, well. Cluck, cluck!
Oh my [A]goodness!

Jack sold the golden eggs
and [Bm]bought medicines and [Bm]food
for [Dm7]his mother.
He bought food for [Dm7]his neighbors
and [Bm]gave it to [C7]them.

Dear Hen, I owe it all [Em]to [C7]you.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
Thank you [A7for [Dm7]saving me
from that wicked giant, cluck, but!
Uhm?
I'll lay eggs when I feel like [F]to, cluck!
Remember that, cluck!
Haha! I see!
Jack lived happily ever after
with his mother and [Bm]the hen.
