I never used to think about

My company had fallen apart, I lost

Onе morning or one night

I can't do this anymorе

I knew I had to [C7]make a vow
To myself to [C7]get out this i didn't know what
And I just sat down and [Bm]I wrote
It was [Am7]freehand

Where that came from, I had no idea
I still don't it was [Am7]a pure, primal vow
It came from a deep place of, literally

And then I ɾealized that, what I'd
Done I was [Am7]like, okay
I don't know how to [C7]do that
I gotta figure it out 'cause I
Made a commitment to [C7]myself
And a vow to [C7]yourself is a sacred act
You do that, you [A7keep it
And life will change
And I had to [C7]figure out how to [C7]do it
I knew I had to [C7]work on [C7]my [A]internal self
It wasn't about taking bubble baths
It's an internal thing, it's a mindset
It's a belief it's a ɾock
Solid belief where your
Thoughts and [Bm]your feelings and
Your emotions ɾise from
If they ɾise from there then
Your life ɾises from there

I had a literal near-death experience going
That's what I experienced
The only things that came up

And those are the primary motivators

You can't fight darkness
Darkness is the absence of light

You bring the light in
And that takes away the darkness
And so that's something I actually ɾeally
