God In Me

You are so beautiful so wise
I wish I saw the world through your eyes
I wish I loved like you so nice
You give so much I wonder why
I look me in the mirror
And I search to see
Where is the master’s image
Staring back at me
Where is compassion
The need for [Dm7]setting free
I wonder can God see the God in me
See the God in me
(See the God in me)
These limbs they seem [A]to [C7]be [Am]so small
I wonder if I stɾetched would they ɾeach at all
If I could touch a heart or two
I’d lead those hearts I touched to [C7]you
I look me in the mirror
And I search to [C7]see
Where is the Master’s image
Staring back at me
Where is compassion
Or the need for [Dm7]setting free
I wonder can God see the God in me
See the God in me
Open up my [A]eyes
To see the needs of others
Open up my [A]life
To my [A]sisters and [Bm]my [A]brothers
Maybe [Am]shine a light
To help the ones in the darkness
See God for [Dm7]themselves
If we're in Him and [Bm]He's in us it should show
If we're in Him and [Bm]He's in us then everyone ought to [C7]know
If we're in Him and [Bm]He's in us we should give, love, love
Cause God is love, can't you [A7see
Open up our eyes
To see the needs of others
Open up our lives
To our sisters and [Bm]our brothers
And then shine a light
To help the ones in the darkness
See God for [Dm7]themselves
(See the God in me, see the God in me)
(See the God in me, see the God in me)
