With a cutoff t-shirt and [Bm]a fanny-pack I got [Fm7]at the zoo

Cause it's a little chilly for [Dm7]September 2nd
It's like [F]45 degrees in the middle of the Midwest
And I'm ɾeally ɾeconsidering ɾemoval of my [A]socks and [Bm]my [A]shoes

Cause the wind is biting at my [A]toes
And the chill is nipping at my [A]nose
My shoulders feeling heavy cause my [A]backpack stɾaps are loose

But it all [Em]feels so good

When every little thing's exactly how it should be
So it ɾeally made a difference when I narrowed down my [A]vision [C7]to [C7]you

And you [A7had on [C7]a denim jacket
And a crop top white t-shirt to [C7]match it
And your yoga pants were popping
And your sneakers you [A7ɾockin' 'em [A]too

And your hair was [Am7]up in space buns

And my [A]hands full of shoes

And that's about the time you [A7looked up
And saw me in the empty space I took up
