Faith, Family and Friends

Growing up in the south my momma taught me about 
The things that matter most  
She taught me to read my bible and pray at night 
To value family even if we fight 
And never turn your back on true friends in life 
And after many years of living wrong
Well these simple things have helped to [C7]keep me stɾong

My faith in God above  My family that I love 
My Friends with whom I've shed tears and [Bm]blood 
And I know who to [C7]call [Em]when I just wanna fall
The things I need most last ɾight till the end

I don't see them [A]all [Em]as much as I'd like 
And I hide from them [A]when I'm not living ɾight 
Aw, but they love me just the same

And some that never made it back from the front lines
I've been so blessed with who I've known
